NEEDLES, San Bernardino County — November 2026 general election. The preliminary count on Needles Measure K shows only an eleven-vote Yes lead on a hotel and lodging tax proposal.

Yes 357 votes (50.78%), No 346 votes (49.22%). The difference is 11 votes in the NBC Los Angeles election-tracker snapshot.

What the ballot measure would change

Measure K would raise the transient occupancy tax on qualifying lodging stays from 10% to 14%, according to the City of Needles election documents. It is not a general residential property tax and is distinct from the city’s Measure L bond and Measure D council-compensation proposals. The result is too close to treat as certified.
