NEEDLES, San Bernardino County — November 4, 2026, 2 a.m. update. Janet Jernigan remains ahead in the Needles mayoral race in the county’s newer unofficial results. The gap with Jeff Williams is 55 votes, and the three available City Council positions have clear preliminary rankings that still require a formal canvass.
Mayoral vote
San Bernardino County Summary Report #4 lists Janet Jernigan at 381 votes (53.74%) and Jeff Williams at 326 (45.98%), along with two unresolved write-in votes. The county lists 4 of 4 precincts reported. This figure does not mean every eligible ballot has been processed.
City Council: three seats
In the vote-for-three council contest, the report lists Jamie McCorkle with 479 votes, Henry Longbrake with 373, Charles Dressler with 337, Wayne Colburn with 289, and Sandra Queen Noble with 106. McCorkle, Longbrake and Dressler occupy the top three ranks in this snapshot.
These are not percentage shares of individual voters: each voter could choose up to three council candidates. Further ballots may change any of the rankings, especially for the final available position.
